Corpus Christi (Seville)

 
Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi is a Cristian feast about the Eucharist. This feast is celebrated 60 days after Holy Week. It is always on Thursday and it has its origin in the Middle Age.
Now, we are going to deal with Sevillian Corpus Christi. This day, the streets and houses are decorated with a lot of rosemary and altars. The calebration starts with a mass in the Catedral with a lot of authorities. During the mass, the Seises dance three dances. 
 


 
When the mass finishes. The procession starts along Seville streets.It is formed by 9 “pasos” (floats):

When we're learning English in highschool or any other school lessons, we learn vocabulary, verbs, adjectives and adverbs. But what we don't learn is English slang. Slang is the vocabulary that people use on the street and in their daily life. You'll find it useful, we promise, because many of them are in songs you listen everyday.
