Corpus Christi (Seville)

 
Corpus Christi.

Corpus Christi is a Cristian feast about the Eucharist. This feast is celebrated 60 days after Holy Week. It is always on Thursday and it has its origin in the Middle Age.
Now, we are going to deal with Sevillian Corpus Christi. This day, the streets and houses are decorated with a lot of rosemary and altars. The calebration starts with a mass in the Catedral with a lot of authorities. During the mass, the Seises dance three dances. 
 


 
When the mass finishes. The procession starts along Seville streets.It is formed by 9 “pasos” (floats):



-Saint Ángela de la Cruz float.




 
-Saint Justa y Rufina float.






-Saint Isidoro float.






-Saint Leandro float.


 

-King Saint Fernando float.




 
-Inmaculada Concepción float.




-Jesus child float.





-Saint Thorn float.




 
-Santo Sacramento float.
